on my 99 ford ranger, i have 80k, so i went about changing the spark plugs.
i decided to change the plug wiring cables as well, and after buying new ones and istalling them, i got a loud clicking noise. i figured the timing was of, so i went about changeing the places of the cables . i am now at the point were the engine will turn over but wont run. what am i to do/ how am i to know the proper timing with the aftermarket cables?Mad

Changing plugs and wires doesn't change the timing. What was that noise and where from? Are new parts back in properly in right order?
