Flashers work but turn signals don't

2001 Acura MDX 3.2L 105,000 I was trying to change my turn signal bulbs and ended up pulling the two wires right out of the socket. Luckily, the wires came out with the terminals and did not damage the socket retaining clips that hold the terminals, so i snapped them right back in. When I turn on my Flashers, all four work fine. However, the turn signals don't work at all now. I was told by Acura that the turn signal flasher and Hazzard flasher are one in the same. So I don't think it's that. All four bulbs work with Flashers so I don't think its that either. I checked the fuse under the driver side kick panel and it tested out fine. To be positive I used a meter across the fuse to check continuity and it was fine. The only thing I could think of is that the two wires shorted together when they got pulled out of the socket. I'm hoping it's not the turn signal switch cause of the cost. Please help me figure this one out? gilly

Hmmm? I'd take the bulb out of the socket that got messed up and see if it will flash manually or work now on other side. Make sure bulbs are correct replacements. Quick search shows TWO different flashers for this! About $9 bucks each and different part #s so can't just be swapped for a test. ~~~~~~~~~~ Part Results for your 2001 Acura Truck MDX 4WD 3.5L MFI SOHC VTEC Hazard Warning Flasher Turn Signal Flasher ~~~~~~~~ That was from AutoZone's own site for parts.... If they were working fine before the wiring problem you might take a look at that again or seek out a whole new socket with wires and solder it in, T
