This allows the computers to "talk" to each other. Information is sent on these wires so that each computer can see what the vehicle is doing. A professionsl scan tool is required to properly diagnose this circuit. It could be an open or shorted wire, or one of the computers may have failed in that part of the circuit. Yes, I would say this one should be left to the pros.
