Citroen C8 Boot Lock

Hi, I've got an 03 Citroen C8. After using the rear screen washer, I found the washer pipe had popped off causing a leak into the boot space. This has been refitted and works fine but has left me with another fault. The onboard display sometimes shows that the boot is open ( when its not ) and the boot handle won't allow it to open unless the rear wiper is running. Once I get the boot open and closed again, all is fine until my next journey. Also when the display tells me the boot is open, the central locking won't lock the car.
This is my first post here so I hope I've described the fault correctly and any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi friend,
Not a lot of Citroens where I live but I get the idea of the problem. The latch for the trunk/boot if like some of the other cars I've dealt with know that it's open and yours even know the the rear wiper is on or off. The wiring to all this handy stuff has to be looked at.
What got wet when the washer wet the trunk? That might be a problem spot, T

Hi, how strange. I found my rear drivers side seat belt was soaking wet and the wiring inside the rear Pilar where the belt goes, turns out my pipe has leaked or come off too, then I had exactly the same issues you've listed with my boot. The annoying thing being when I can lock it with the rear wiper halfway across my screen on central locking, shortly after the rear wiper resets to its off position and the car alarm goes off as it thinks the boot is open. Have you managed to solve your problems? I'm hoping that it may just dry out and go back to working but I guess that's unlikely. Can you let me know anything else you may have found out.
