Central locking problem

I just replaced a faulty electric window motor (driver's door) on a 1997 Nissan Wingroad. The electric window is now working but not the central locking. I can no longer operate the central locking using the key or switch on the drivers door control panel. I can still lock the driver's door but I'm not able to manually lock any of the other doors. If I try to lock them there is a grinding noise. Any ideas on what might be the problem?

First the wingroad is not available here - As you had no problem before replacing the motor I would start there - go over the installation. Likely a problem in the driver door. Sorry can't help with a door linkage diagram or wiring diagram...

I just pulled the connecting plug from the actuator and some water came out!!?? I'm guessing that must be the problem.
