Hello everyone, I have 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora with 158000 miles on it. Today, I took out my aftermarket subwoofers and amp and gave them to my brother. I removed the power and ground from my battery, and it's possible I over tightened the positive post (not sure, went past "snug", but didn't hear any stripping). I also did not cap my remote wire (I know, stupid, totally forgot). About 10 hours later my car had no power. I got a jump and after a while it started. I drove maybe 3 miles and it died completely, just flat out shut off, no power whatsoever. My battery is only a few years old, so I don't know. Any help would be appreciated.

Have the battery and charging system tested in the car. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
