Car Alarm Problems. Sign In

I just bought a 1994 Eagle Vision.
I had no idea it had a alarm.
I was sitting in the passenger seat and opened the door.
The alarm went off and I have no idea how to turn it off.
It did go off eventually, but I didnt do anything. And now Im scared
to open any of the doors.

To start I know most cars will disable the alarm if you put the keys into the ignition and start the car. My old remote use to get stuck and drain the batteries and I had to rely on this method a few times.

In the long run you may want to try and disable this car alarm, so you may want to find out what type of alarm it is and find out what needs to be disconnected in order for it to stop working.

Can you find out from the prior owner info on the system? Most have an override to shut it down hidden switch usually within reach of the driver. It wan't meant to be too easy to find. Also be careful getting out of the car with windows up and keys in it as some lock the doors too by surprize!! T
