I have read that spark plugs carry very high voltages but almost no current (0.01 to 0.05 amps), and that most people have gotten shocked said it is not fatal and cant cause long term harm, but what if theoretically one was to place the electrodes of the spark plug across the chest somehow, would that cause fibrillation in the heart? or is the resistance or lack of amps still too little to do harm?

I'm sure 30,000 volts is capable of doing some damage in the right place so don't try it.

ahh yea makes sense, I take it though that those sparkers you use in the kitchen to light up gas stoves are a lot less powerful than the ones we find in the cars right? since some of them are jus normal battery operated

You can bet on that.
If you want to test the theory, grab a plug wire and pull it off the plug with your bare hands while leaning on the car. Let me know how it feels. I already know as do most techs.

Thanks for clarifying. I'd rather not test it if I know it is dangerous, it's just I have a very ocd mind in trying to figure out if something is safe or not lol.

Do you also happen to know if the kitchen sparker could cause damage across the heart? or say an electric fly swatter, if you could theoretically put 1 electrode on your left finger and the other on your tongue, would the current be sufficient to channel through the heart in either case?

Again thanks, really appreciate the advice from tech experts as opposed to asking laymen

OK, now you're just being an idiot. Don't stick anything electrical on your tongue, your fingers, your heart or any other part of your body.
