Hi, we have a 2000 Toyota Camry, which had been parked outside for quite a while, while we were waiting for it to sell. When it wouldn't start, at first we thought the battery had died, but then we found out some rabbits had chewed through a bundle of wires. I don't know anything about wiring in cars, but wonder if it's possible to take the bundle of wires from a car of the same Make/Model and just take the old mess out and replace it by the new bundle. Any advice is welcome! Thank you so much!

It can happen by assorted critters. Best fix depending on extent is to properly splice in proper automotive wire of the right colors. Soldered and shrink wrapped. If just one section you see clearly, check out wires from a wreck. Stinks but that stuff happens?? T

Rabbits are vegetarians. The wires probably were gnawed on by mice, squirrels, or chipmunks. After you fix the problem, you may want to look into some sort of pest control methods to prevent them from wanting to go back inside the engine compartment and doing this again. Steve
