Brake lights Jeep liberty one side out??

I had replaced the 2 bulbs and only one side is working( passenger).
checked fuses
checked socket connections
Is it the brake light switch? would a blown switch allow one side to work?

Check that power and ground makes it to the socket. If so swap bulbs with the one known to work,
