Hello there i have a 1996 p reg renult clio, 47850 mi, i have been having problems recently where the battery kept failing to start so i replaced the battery twice and still was failing on me so then i replaced the alternator and now it still doesn't work the only way to start it is using jump leads and then as soon as you turn the engine off and start the car again it fails to start and no lights even come on. It's probably a cable connection issue but you need to start by testing the battery. Replacing parts is not the way to find this problem. Start with testing the battery and once you confirm a good battery, start checking all the cable connections until you find the bad one. If the battery tests bad or discharged, find out what did it.

If jumping it always starts it, then the problem is likely right at the terminal connections at the battery.

Don't assume a battery is good just because you charged it. It actually has to be tested.
