I wanted to know, that if you had an electrical short when the vehicle was started, that drained the battery, if it is possible for it to appear that the battery was not being charge good enough by the alternator. In fewer words, making it look like alternator was not doing its job, when in reality it was fine, and the electrical short was the problem.

You can't test an alternator without a good battery. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
