Most of the time my A/C is not working. Sometimes it will work for a short time. This is what I mean by not working. The fan will blow out air, but it is not cool. AND the light on the AC panel will not be lit so that tells me it is some kind of power shortage. I've checked the main fuse box and the box near pedals. No blown. 2000 Honda Accord Thanks, Aaron

Did you actually test both ends of each fuse using a test light? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Aaron - as Hammer suggested - check fuses with test light. Seems there's a run lately on too large a clutch gap at compressor. Feeler gauge -measure it - engine off. High tech but the magnetic clutch loses its mag-nativity with heat! Check air gap. Near 12 years old it's not uncommon to be too wide. Generally .020 but most will keep working at .030 and quit after that or be intermittent. All I know of can be adjusted and not easy on this car, T

If the light on the dash is going out, then the air gap won't be the issue.

Sure could - if indicator won't light could be clutch. No specific info on this car. Tom

No, it could not. If the indicator light isn't lighting, then the control head is not sending the request to the PCM which controls the compressor relay.

Agree - probably not sending the signal from control head and not sure if it would light up if lousy connection on the way?? T
