99 ford taurus 3.0 172k
I got in the car and almost all elec. went out. headlights still work but thats about it. radio wont turn on, trunklid wont pop, windows will not go down, very difficult to get out of park, windshield wipers dont work, hazard and brake lights wont work, the instrument panel does light up headlights do work and power locks work. no blown fuses. no idea what has happened here. I called a local mechanics shop and they told me not to briing it in!! please help

take off and clean your battery connections and have the battery tested first. Sometimes something that small can cause such a problem. From what you say here, the things that won't work are key-on accessories. That can indicate a bad ignition switch.
