99 VW Golf GL - Turn signal help Sign In

Basically, my turn signals aren't working at all anymore. Whenever I try and bring the lever (attached to steering wheel) up or down to use the turn signal, my lights don't flash (neither do my turn light bulbs) and I instead hear a clicking sound. But my hazard lights are still working, so I'm thinking there's some problem with the lever itself.

My turn signals didn't go out immediately. At first, I had to play with the lever for the turn signals to be activated. That worked for a while but now it's not working at all anymore. Any help, please? Thanks.

Turns out that the junction between the steering wheel and the turn signal lever was dirty. Just used some WD-40 to clean that out and now it's working perfectly.
