Search Auto Parts Search 99 New Body Style GMC Sierra Speedometer and Radio Sign up here!   Email This Post Auto Repair Home>> Automotive Repair>> Automotive Wiring and Electrical blusfan New User Feb 24, 2011, 6:41 AM Post #1 of 3 (1933 views) 99 New Body Style GMC Sierra Speedometer and Radio Sign In I have a 99 new body style gmc sierra 1500 that while messing with a add on cd player tied into the fm radio I have managed to get the speedometer and rpm gauges to stop working, also the radio presets and clock loose there settings every time I turn off the truck. I have tried a few of the fuses as in the one for the speedometer and radio but have not found the right one. Thanks Tony Sorry I did not put the type of vehicle in the subject line on the first try. Don't be just poking wires for power and grounds. I had one cd changer hooked up to the radio via a fm station for 5 years. When it went out I bought and installed another identical one which lasted another 5 years but I never changed the wires on the new one so I had a identical set which after the second unit went out I piggybacked the new wires on top of the first ones I put in 10 years ago to see if it was the wiring and that is how this happened.
