Hey guys,

Wow, My buddy has a 1999 Daimler-benz AG CLK 320 Cabriolet, (automatic) and the soft-top won't go down automatically.

Anyone have a clue, I don't.

Today, I pulled the back seat and opened the top manually with the wrench and the allen wrench (manual method).

It's funny, the top sounds like it wants to move put is stuck, I think I can hear what sounds like relays popping but the top won't do much.

When I move the switch to down position (the top is down) it --the top-- makes some sqeaking noise like it wants to move put it don't--because it's down.

Anyone know how to test those solenoids that are in the wiring diagram.

I got the Mitchel wiring diagrams for the car and it shows about 7 solenoids and switches and a hydraulic motor, DONT KNOW WHERE THAT IS. but it's in the diagram.

Any clues would help. Thanks.

WAG = "Wild Arse Guess" is that its hydraulics have leaked. ZERO info on this car and since you have the Mitchells for it see how to check the level and if low where it went??

Yea, I found another two fuses in the system, I'll check those today.

I found, so far, that the problem with mitchel is that they show you a diagram (pencil sketch) but don't show you the part or where it's at.

If anyone has a picture, or know where I could get the pictures of some of these parts, that would help.
