98 Dodge truck Lights won't turn off

I have a 98 Dodge 1500 and the lights will not turn off. I need to disconnect the battery every time I leave the vehicle. I replaced the headlight switch and harness about 18 months ago as they were burnt (common problem with these according to the dealership). I checked these again when this problem occured and they seem fine.
Any ideas out there?
I forgot to mention that the high beam indicator stays on as well!
