Re: 94 dodge truck wont start Sign In

yes jon i did because the #9 fuse has 2 wires connected to it one is what looks like its tan/orange and the other wire is just orange from what i can tell jon

as far as the color of the wire going to 9-12 i double checked it and check it again and it is black/orange and the blue wire is feeding 13-16 and that is the last row of my fuse box i have just 4 rows
thanks Ron

Re: 94 dodge truck wont start Sign In

ha jon while i was setting waqiting for a reply from you i went back out and looked at 9-12 fuses again and with the help of the sun i noticed their is an A side and a B side to the fuse box. so with me looking at the front of the fuses and grabing the wires on the B side there is only two wires on that side and one of them is the one coming from the ignition switch and the other one goes to the 9 fuse. now when i grab the wire from the switch and move it it only moves the 10 11 12 fuse slots and when i grab the wire going to the 9 fuse and move it on the B side of the box it just moves in the slot for 9 fuse and nothing else on the B side moves.

when i do the same thing to the A side with the four wires on that side the just move in the slot that fuse plus into rather then all of them moving at one time when i move the wire from the back. so like if i grab the wire for 12 on the A side and wiggle it it just moves in the 12 slot and the same goes for the rest of them on the A side.

i hope this may better help then what i found earlier and told jon
thanks Ron

Re: 94 dodge truck wont start Sign In

Hey Ron, I don't quite understand what you mean by A and B side. Were you able to actually see inside the fuse panel at the copper bus bars in there?

According to the schematic those four fuses should be connected to the same bus feed bar. If moving the dark blue wire around only moves 10,11, and 12 fuse holders, I'd wonder if 9 has become disconnected.

Re: 94 dodge truck wont start Sign In

Feed wires from ignition switch:

Black/white feeds fuses 5,6,7,8

Black/orange feeds fuses 14,15,16

Dark blue feeds fuses 9,10,11,12

Fuses 1,2,3,4 not used

Re: 94 dodge truck wont start Sign In

hi jon no i cant really seethe cooper bus u r talking about that is why i went back and played with the wires jon and that is why i said that on very back of the fuse box they have it marked A & B and the side that feeds the bus from the switch only 3 of them move when i move the wire up and down in 10 11 12 but it dont move on the 9 unless i move that wire buy its self

i just came back in from trying to put a jumper wire on the back side of the fuse box to get power to the 9 fuse but when i turned the key on and went to check the connect at the PMC i still dont have 12 volts their , but with the jumper wire going from 11 back to 9 and the key on made my parking lights come on without the headlight switch even being on

Re: 94 dodge truck wont start Sign In

With the fuse in number 9 turn on the parking lamps and see if there is power at the fuse.

Maybe it is a typo. What is the 10th digit in the VIN number reading left to right?

Re: 94 dodge truck wont start Sign In

I'm confused. Parking lamp circuit uses fuse 18 . Even if you were to jump power to that fuse it shouldn't turn the lamps on because it has to go through the headlamp switch before it gets to the parking lamps.

Is there a way you can take a picture of the front and rear of your fuse panel?

You have a photo hosting site you can upload them to? Like photobucket. Then copy and paste the link in here.

Re: 94 dodge truck wont start Sign In

NO problem. It will get figured out one way or another.
I think that you may be reading the fuse block incorrectly. Hope you don't mind but I modified your pictures to show where the fuse 9 and dark blue wire that feeds it are.

Re: 94 dodge truck wont start Sign In

The four slots with nothing in them is 1-4. The row next to them is 5-8. Then 9-12. Next 13-16. And last row on left is 17-20. If you look at the fuse block diagram picture above. The circled numbers are the fuse position locations. You'll also notice that some of those locations have heavy black lines connected to each other. That means those fuse positions are tied together on the same power feed bar.

If you have power at fuse 9, the next place you should go is the connector that goes through the firewall.

Re: 94 dodge truck wont start Sign In

Actually there will be the big dark blue wire feeding power to that row of fuses. Then you will have 4 individual circuits coming out of the fuses. The wire you want to be concerned with is the light green/black wire.

What is odd is that when you connected power to the PCM pin the engine did start, so it might be a good idea to check for power at the ASD relay (inside the relay box under the hood) with and without your jumper installed. This will tell you if the problem is outside the cab.

Check for power at the ASD relay terminal cavity for pin 86 with the ignition on. The numbers on the bottom of the relay correspond to the pins on the relay.

If there is no power, connect your jumper to the PCM and then check to see if there is power at 86 of the ASD.
