Hi everyone, When I went to start my 93 Hiace last night, she just clicked as if the battery was completely and absolutely dead. However, all the dash lights and the headlights were working 100%. Tried to give her a push start and she was fine, so I drove her home as I normally would and when I got home I tried to start her, she started fine so I headed inside to bed. However this morning when I went out there again, she was doing the same thing.. Could this be a loose wire to the starter motor or...? Sorry I'm a cars idiot!

If you just get a single click then it's usually a bad battery cable connection - at battery and at the other ends of the cables too need to be checked. If so your interior light would probably go out if you left the door open when you heard the single click. If a fluuter (machine gun clicking away) it's usually low power (amps) available. Could be bad battery, alternator not charging up the battery. You can get a simple voltmeter for about $10 bucks to check if voltage is up to 14v ish when running which suggests the alternator is ok. Try a jump start - if that works then it proves the starter itself is not the trouble, T
