Hey Y'all! I have a 1993 Isuzu Trooper sohc 3.2 man.trans. Great vehicle, my third Trooper!! So this is my problem. The vehicle was running fine when I drove it to work, then at lunchtime, I went to drive it, and it would barely run.it would start and idle roughly, and as I gave it gas, it would bog down. I believe was in what is called limp in or back up mode. I drove it to a friends shop, where it under went several tests to determine the issue. Timing was fine, compression was fine, the Cat was not clogged up. he hooked up the scanner, and it said possible ecm failure.So, after carquest told me it was a $280.00 R&R, I located a used match on Ebay. today I installed it and still the same thing. So three weeks later, I'm still at square one. The vehicle is now at my house, as the mechanic, though good, is too busy swapping parts on other cars to do alot of diagnostic fiddling with it. not to mention I'm not exactly flush with money!So assuming the ECM is good, what else could it be? Fuel pump going bad? I 'm not sure he checked the fuel pressure. A relay or some other sensor that sends a signal to the ECM that is causing it go into limp in mode? Bad ground? broken wire? LOL, I know how to check all this stuff, but I'm hoping for a magic bullet here! Help a fellow out!! Thanks !!!!

Is this a DOHC or a SOHC?

it's a single overhead cam (sohc). it just got dumped in my drivrway by the flatbed, too.!
