92 Plymouth Grand Voyager

I have a 92 Plymouth grand voyager. It has the 3.0l v-6, is 2wd, and had 291,000m on it. When I turn the key, everything comes on, but the engine doesn't turn when the key is turned. I have heard the extreme hot and cold we get here in Colorado at this time of the year can work the wiring loose, but I don't really know where to start. Could it be the switch? What do you think?

Could be a ton of things at the age and miles!
If no antitheft stuff could be involved then it could be a connection problem with battery cables (all ends) ignition problem, wires at the starter to check first. It may be the starter itself.
Do you get some response from the starter at all? Any noise, slightest click, whirrr/hmmm - anything?
You can check with a test light if power gets to the smaller gauge exciter wire at the starter with key request and if so and other things look good try tapping on starter motor body (go easy) with a hammer and if it snaps to and starts that's about enough reason to blame the starter itself,
