Was cleaning up the engine and saw the plug wires were twisted. Instead of unpluging them at the plugs, I took the wires off the Distributor. Like a Idiot, I didn't keep track of how they were on the cap. Now every time I hook them up the engine runs like crap. What do I do to get them correct again?

You sure it has a 4.0L DOHC and not a 2.2L SOHC? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Sorry!! Your correct on the engine size. Got mixed up with the ford that I have. Had both vehicles down with in two days of each other. Thanks for the diagram. Do I need to set the engine timing at TDC before hooking up the cables?

Nope, just attach the wires as they are in the pic. #1 cylinder is the first cylinder on the driver's side of the engine. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
