88 chevy 1 ton dually rebuilt 454 10k miles ago. problem started truck runnig fine and just died for no reason. found no spark or fuel so i changed ignition module, started and ran approx. 10 mles and same problem. replaced again started and idled good. i shut it off and restarted 3 or 4 more times with no problem. next morning wont start same problem. so being that i thought some of the wiring was not in the best shape, along with a brand new ac delco ignition module i replaceed the entire wiring harness thinking it would fix problem and clean up the wiring so i just finished up the job and guess what, thats right same problem, any ideas

Replace the ignition coil along with the module this time.

The injector pulse usually has nothing to do with the Ignition module. That is usually the pick up coil in the distributor that will knock that out.

That's if the module has power from the ignition switch and a good ground.

I have seen engines have a crank position sensor cause issues. Please check your engine for a crank position sensor, if your engine has a crank position sensor, start there.

Also on the chevy there is fuse-able links/fuse on the passenger side under the hood behind a black cover on the firewall.

Also check your fuse box
My 90 Chevy had similar issues and it was a fuse.

There hasn't been any activity on this thread in a month. I'm sure if he hadn't figured it out we'd have heard from him. Leave old threads be please. Every time a thread gets a post to it, everyone that ever posted to it gets an e-mail notice. Fills the inbox pretty fast for those of us that are on here a lot.

Also, if you don't even know for sure if this truck even has a crank sensor, why are you telling this guy to check it?

Locking this thread unless it is requested re-open by the original poster by PM.
