1988 Nissan D21 Z24 M/T The running lamps wont come on. Dash lights also out. The high beams both work. Only driver side low beam works. Reverse and brake lights both work. Any suggestions?

Do you have a 12 volt test lamp or volt meter? First figure out why the running lamps don't work. check power on both sides of tail fuse. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

If you do pick up a 12 volt test lamp, get an incandescent one instead of the LED one. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

I found one of the taillamps were burnt out. I'm going to replace all the bulbs in the rear and see what happens. Havent looked at the headlamps yet. but they are sealed headlamps

Okay so I replaced all the bulbs in the rear. still not turning on. I'm going to play it safe and just put it in the shop. I did the 12v test lamp, and was getting power to all but one lead, which is the left brake light in the rear. I'm not going to mess with it anymore until shop looks at it. I will let you know what they say the problem is

Would the headlight switch be part of the problem? it will turn the headlights on. Both bright head lamps work. only one dim. somebody mentioned changing it. I took it out and cleaned the contacts. don't know if that would help
