I have a 1986 Nissan P/u king cab 3.0 truck with 248,000 miles. It's been a great truck. I have had it since 97 and have replaced the transmission, starter, water pump and alternator (about 7 years ago). I would like to keep it for another year but don't know what went wrong this time. Problem started when I was driving, radio went out. Got to my destination and parked. Ten minutes later I tried starting it and it just made clicking noise. Thinking the alternator wasn't charging the battery enough to turn it over. Got a jump and noticed the volt meter reading 6-8. Truck started up and read 12 on the trucks volt meter. Drove it home about 8 miles and turned it off. Tried starting it the next day with simular results, clicking. Jump started it but it stalled and never started again. Put a battery charger on the battery and waited 3-4 hours. Wind shield wipers came on and would not shut off. Pulled fuse to stop them. Tried starting it would not turn over. Decided to change battery. Hooked up battery and tried to start. No power at all. The lights don't go on and I put the fuse back in. No power even with new battery. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You have probably blown one of the main "maxi-fuses". Check all the larger capacity fuses in the power distribution box.
