You may have a real hard time looking for one of those these days. You might do better using a porcelain resister or a coil with internal resister. I think the best bet would be an electronic ignition conversion.

I'll have to 2nd the suggestion.......... Put a factory HEI distributor in that....All you need is one 12v power wire and you good to go, hotter spark and way less maintenance......... I'm assuming this is a small block V8. It'll drop right in.

Like the HEI switch over idea. To add if a V8 small block to get one (whole distributor) that would fit early HEIs with vacuum advance. With MY (model year) 1975 and up GM went pointless (pun intendedWink)

Truck engines hung on longer to the vacuum advance types TMK. If memory serves me which can be a challenge the orange wire is plain power to dist, brown is for tach if equipped or testing and the other should be ground? Been a while,

T

Vacuum for advance may be "venturi" air speed or manifold vacuum but most were venturi air speed meaning vacuum would only show up with RPMs not at idle if I recall?
