Hi, my daughters car is a 1993 del sol honda, 1.6 sei, with 80,000 miles. Intermittently the key does not come out of the ignition and the car won't start in park but will start in neutral. I replaced the ignition tumbler and still have the problem and I confirmed when I disconnect the negative cable from battery the key comes right out, indicating that the key interlock solenoid was energized. So the the interlock control unit does not see the A/t gear switch in park, immediately I can turn the car on in Park. I have volt/ ohm meter and all data.com and will be looking at the A/t gear switch and the key interlock circuit today. Any tips on troubleshooting the circuits would be greatly appreciated.

took consol apart in one once and found coffe,soda pop, and just about anything else you could think of
cleaned everything worked great
