2013 Nissan Altima; DRL Toggle Switch, How to

Hello, So I have installed an aftermarket LED DRL on my vehicle and it is working perfectly. However, I want to be able to turn it OFF when I don't need it (i.e. at a Drive-in movie). I wanted to install a toggle switch for it, but I am not sure of what to use or do. In this picture, it shows how the lights are being wired. I used a fuse tap to connect the ( + ) wire. In this next picture, it shows how I imagined it would be wired. I am not sure if using a wire splicer would interrupt the flow of electricity and work with the toggle switch function. Any advice would be great. Thank you.

Quick and hopefully easy solution: Take cheap junk aftermarket stuff out and hope you didn't mess up the car putting it in, T

if the DRL was wired correctly they would not come in P or N. I Believe Altima has DRL's SO why not utilize that to control your added 'lighting" ? Simple system: The BCM monitors inputs from the parking brake switch and the combination switch (lighting and turn signal switch) to determine when to operate the daytime light system. The BCM sends a daytime light request to the IPDM E/R via the CAN communication lines. The IPDM E/R grounds the daytime light relay which in turn, provides power to the daytime lights.

I assume those aren't real wiring diagrams, just something you made. We need to see how these are really wired. There isn 't even a ground in that circuit. Are you wiring into the factory lights? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
