2007 Ford Explorer dome lights not working Sign In
Good day,

My 2007 Ford Explorer dome lights work when the door is open and when I use the switch (the one with the dash dimmer) near the headlights but the individual switches located on the lights will not turn them on. The kids can't read books when were driving at nighttime.

There are 5 separate switches that do not work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

These lamps are powered by the smart junction box which is the interior fuse box, also a module.

You can test fuse #23 15A with a test light but I expect it will be still good and the module/junction box may be the problem.

Thanks for your reply. I tested fuse #23 and like you said it is fine. I'm wondering where the module is that you speak of. Also any other ideas you have.

The fuse box IS the module. That's why they call it a smart junction box.
