2004 RSX - Internal Dome and Trunk lights not working Sign In

Hi all,

I replaced the dome light with a LED light and it was working fine. Then I replaced the trunk light with a LED light and because the connector wasn't working properly, I had to move it and hold it in place to make the light turn on. After trying several positions it just stop working and all the other internal lights don't work (map light, dome light, and trunk light). Everything else seem to work properly. I checked all the fuses one by one with a 'pen' fuse tester and by visually checking them all. All the fuses appear to be good.

What could be the issue?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure what you mean by a "pen" fuse tester. Is this a 12v test light? I'd be going back to that trunk light that the connector had issues with. Recheck everything. Try unplugging it completely and see if the other lights will come on now.

Hello, by 'pen' I meant the 12v test light, sorry I didn't know the right terminology. I found that under the hood there is another fuse box, which had a blown 7.5A fuse. After replacing it, the internal lights started to work again. So, yes, it was a fuse. I thought that there was only one fuse box (the one inside the car on the driver side), instead there is a 2nd one under the hood. We can consider this solved and closed. Thanks.
