? on NORMAL "standby" current out of the battery when car is turned off, dome lites all off.
i measure 300ma, is this high? Battery drains after two days of car being parked w/o driving.

Is this an original battery? Alone that would make it junk at the age. Check door jam for build date and add a month or two.
When battery goes dead several times which this sounds like that will kill a good one.
I think you will find a slight draw like you found that is normal and drops even lower (less drain) when you aren't looking,
