2003 Pontiac Aztec

03 Aztec 3.4L, 1st the speedometer does not work. 2nd Goes into drive just fine but will not shift as rpm and speed climbs. just revs doesnt shift. I just replaced head gaskets shaved the heads,replaced lower upper intake gaskets. I put everything back together and here is my issue. Now on top of the trannie is a large plug, is this what controls the speedometer and possable the shifting of the trannie. Thank you for your time, Ryan
