2003 Escape air bag indicator light

2003 Escape air bag indicator light

I have a 2003 Ford Escape. When I start the car, the air bag light comes on and blinks 4 times then 7 times. This pattern repeats for about 5 minutes then the light stays on continuously. Does anyone know what this is indicating?

That has to do with the passenger pre-tensioner. It will either be the seat belt buckle pre-tensioner or the Restraint Control Module. Good luck.
