2003 Avalanche cranks but does not start

2003 Chevy Avalanche..z66-5.3--auto--58,000 mi, Southeast Louisiana
Truck started as normal, ran few seconds and stopped. Would crank, but would not start. No error code, info display shows "Check brake booster"., fuel gauge reads "0" , low fuel level light on, with the tank is near full.
Changed fuel pump relay. Fuel gauge reading correctly, no error code, brake booster message gone and engine starts and runs normally.
Several starts and stops in following days. No problems.
Today would not start, same symptoms. Checked fuel pump relay, OK....replace relay and engine started. Started and stopped several times. OK.
Now back to crank, no start.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Have you scanned the PCM for trouble codes?
