2002 malibu instrument light stay on while engine off

I have a 2002 malibu that the theft system light and odometer reading on the instrument panel stays on with the ignition in the off position. with the engine running the theft system light remains on. 85,000 miles on it.

Looks like you may have a logic problem with either the Instrument Panel Cluster or the Body Control Module. I would suggest taking this to a shop for diagnosis.
