Can I replace a 20 fuse for my auto door locks with a 25 without causing any harm or fires?

You should be able to. If there is a direct short of power to ground causing the 20 A fuse to blow, it will also blow the 25A. If it takes a while to blow, then you need to troubleshoot the system to see where the excessive current draw is that is causing the fuse to blow. Just be sure to replace with the correct amperage fuse when completed.

Totallally agree with our famous way2old. Try the 25 but not more. Back to the 20 when problem or cause is found would be my suggestion. The extra 5 amps should NOT cause a fire but must say it's still AYOR, IMO,
