after getting a puncture i replaced the rear right wheel. With the spare wheel on i couldnt get the rear suspension to drop down. I tried driving a little. revving heavily. disconnecting the battery for 30mins hoping to reset the ecu. none of this worked so drove v. slowly to citroen mechanic who attempted to plug in the diagnostic computer but it would not read. It is a british registered car and im in france the mechanic thought there might be a difference in software?. but the car is french made. I have checked the connections fuses, etc all seems fine. Im sure if the computer would connect the suspension could be lowered but without connection i have no idea.

Welcome but know most techs here are from N. America so will not have tons of info on this car.

General if applicable: If load leveled air suspended when changing a tire you should have an OFF switch so as to not confuse the thing. It should have dealt with it anyway in some time.

As for as connecting to computer is it the plug in port or no info ready? You've disconnected the battery which alone could reset or confuse things for a while OR a procedure to go thru to speed it up and doubt we could find that if any.

Some/many cars adapt to maintain an idle as things get older, dirty perhaps but computer knows to try and if you erased that this car may be going thru a re-learn?

There probably is an intake unmetered leak with this. Vacuum or something in anything that should be sealed tight to the intake of the throttle body. Wild guess is the computer "ecu" has tried to cover it and now gone stupid but something exists.

As far as plugs for code readings and the codes I plain don't know if each Euro country has a different way or not. Car wherever made should have been set to meet whatever was required for its original country that it would be sold in when new.

If it was destined and sold to England doesn't it have right hand drive? TMK and last time I was there France was left hand drive depending on how much Beaujolais you consumed with your lunch (just kidding) and would have amber headlights - right?

Plenty of room for the two places to do things differently including how you read codes. Hopefully techs in either place can find out and would think would know?
