changed the alternator and now the battery light keeps staying on, so replaced it with another one. The van won't stay running and the battery light is still on.

Alternator is showing 1450 volts but at the battery end its only showing 7. Is there a fusible link between the two?

sounds to me like your batteries are shot. 12v is standard for batteries.

Yes, there is a fusible link between the two. Test for power at the main terminal with the key off. Also, the voltage regulator is part of the PCM

the low one was from the battery and the higher one was from the alternator

You should be taking both of them from the battery. make sure the connections are good there also.

Zap the computer?

I have no idea what you're talking about or what you're trying to do but you certainly need to forget about it.

when you put a new computer in the van, most of the time it has to be zapped before it will work in your van. The dealer charges $200 to do it, so if there is a way to do it myself it would save money.

Hell no, The equipment to do that is over $10,000 plus you have to buy a subscription to the programs from the manufacturer.

Yes, you should have said flash. Zapping usually infers "frying" it.
