2002 Chevy Impala- no rear interior/courtesy lamps

I have a 2002 Chevy Impala LS, just purchased recently with 130000 miles. My question is about the interior lamps for the rear seat. Neither one is working, but the front ones in the rearview mirror are. Also the aux. power port in the ashtray is dead, but the one in the center console for the rear seat works. It has been too cold here to really do much, just wondering if these are all fused separately or where to start after i check fuses if that is not the culprit. Thanks in advance!

fast; The power port fuse may be blown. It's possible that the rear interior lights are on the same circuit, I'd have to check, and can if need be. Check all of the fuses, first. It's also entirely possible that both bulbs are burned out. Check for the rheostat that controls dash illumination. Turn it all of the way to high, then just a bit more, which should turn on the interior lights. Loren SW Washington
