2001 Suburban Electrical Issue

I have a 2001 Chevy Suburban. We went to the outdoor movie last week, and the next night the truck was very slow to start. We figured it was due to the wear on the battery the night before, so we charged with a charger for a few hours. That wasn't the problem. If the truck sits for more than a day, it's slow to VERY slow to start, but it does start every time. The clock has reset to 12:00 on one occasion, and twice the tow/haul light has been ON once the truck has started even though I've never used the tow/haul feature on the truck. Now we're not sure if it's a starter or battery issue. The slow start seems to point to a starter, but the clock and tow/haul issue seems to be more indicative of a battery problem. I hate to take the truck to a garage blindly without having at least a clue as to what may be wrong. Any input you have would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you so much. Heather

If the battery is original it's way past due for a new one even if that's not the whole trouble. A battery slowly loses capability over time not just miles and when it's getting weak it's actually hard on the starter and can hurt the alternator so if older get a good new one. Ask them to put a memory saver on the car which was probably lost when you saw the clock go back to 12:00 anyway and radio presets and other things are all reset and you don't want that if you can avoid it.
Battery is getting old at 3-4 years no matter what the claims on one says,
