My whippers, dome light and door ding all went out at same time. It happened all of a sudden. I haven't tried anything. I looked at the owners manual to see if one fuse controled them all but didn't see any.

Sounds like a faulty (GEM) Generic Electronic Module! (Which is the Body control module)
Heres what the GEM controls..
- Warning chimes and warning lamps
- One-touch down driver’s side window
- Daytime Running Lamps
- Heated rear window
- Windshield washers and wipers
- Battery saver
- Remote keyless entry
- Illuminated entry with remote keyless entry
- Interior lighting
- Perimeter anti-theft
- Four-wheel drive

Generic Electronic Module (GEM)
Used on 4WD models and/or 2WD models equipped with power windows.
Controls the interval wiper, shift on the fly, and one touch down power window functions.
Central Timer Module (CTM)
Used on 2WD models without power windows.
Controls the interval wiper functions.
< One installed the new one needs to be programmed with an advanced scan tool >
I recommend taking it in and having proper diagnosis done on it first .

That is where I was going with the window and door lock question. I would say Dan is right on. Common failure. Also check to make sure the windshield seal is not leaking anywhere on that side. I have seen this a few times cause the module failure.

No sweat Jim. I didn't think you were. Just wanted to second what you said to reinforce the diagnosis with the guy. Jump in on me anytime. i sometimes post and then don't come back for a few days so a jump in is needed

You never said if you checked all the fuses. There is a possibility the problems are a coincidence. I think the dome light and the door dinger are definately connected. The fuses need to be checked with a test light or voltmeter. Test light is better to use.
