2001 Chrysler T&C Intermittent Power Doors Sign In

2001 Chrysler Town & Country Limited
3.8L
114k miles

My Town and Country power doors aren't working correctly. Yesterday I tried them and they worked from the button by the door and they worked fine but wouldn't work from the overhead button. I got the car home and I was messing with them and thought I'd try switching the overhead button off, just for kicks, and the doors worked a couple times then stopped working again. The doors work intermittently from the backseat buttons too. They work fine from the key fob consistently. I think the problem may be in the switch but I'm not sure. Has anyone else had this problem and or have any ideas of what to look at? Thanks

You have a bad connection somewhere.
Could be dirty switch, lose or broken wire.
Alot of times i see the wires that travel along the door beside the door trac break( they will be inside a plastic flexible looking thing).

Hard to tell without being in person.

Wow, that's a hell of a conclusion! How many of those have you repaired?

This entire system is operated by the Body Control Module. You don't suppose that could play a part here, do you?

Yeah 100% true about the BCM but, If it works with the key fab I would think it would be in one of the manual controls such as a switch or wiring problem.
But It always has to be the expensive fix if he has my luck. haha

Thanks for the help guys. Turns out I had a courtesy light on in the 3rd row draining my battery causing the doors to cut out. I put it on the charger this morning and it works great now. I guess I lucked out this time.

You did luck out! Dang lights should shut off and stay off when car isn't running but most sure don't and hard to see one left on in some,
