2000 corvette taillights go off and on

2000 corvette taillights go off and on Sign In
The tail lights w/dash lights sometimes go out for long periods of time. They will be out one day, and the next time you start the car they will be on with no problem. I'm thinking a bad switch or loose wire, but really don't know where to start. Any advice?
