Last month the flasher/blinker started making a clicking sound after the signal was turned off. It got worse as the month proceeded. I tried disconnecting the battery, no good. I tried to locate the relay, I can't. No lights flash when this happens. It will now also happen at any given time, ie. when started, on a straight hwy with no bumps. One for the four way and one for directionals. Many can be switched for a test but a 2000 model year shouldn't need more than than. In other words if you suspect that the flasher is a fault then you’re buying a hazard switch. With your description of the symptoms that’s what it likely is. Dan.
