My car is a, 2000 Chevy Malibu, 3.1 engine, 95,000 miles. Last month the flasher/blinker started making a clicking sound after the signal was turned off. It got worse as the month proceeded. I tried disconnecting the battery, no good. I tried to locate the relay, I can't. No lights flash when this happens. It will now also happen at any given time, ie. when started, on a straight hwy with no bumps. Thanks in advance for any help, Keith White

There should be two flashers. One for the four way and one for directionals. Many can be switched for a test but a 2000 model year shouldn't need more than than. Good luck, and BTW your owner's manual may tell you right where it is, T

I’m pretty sure the turn signal flasher relay on this vehicle is incorporated in the hazard switch assembly. In other words if you suspect that the flasher is a fault then you’re buying a hazard switch. With your description of the symptoms that’s what it likely is. Dan.
