2000 Subaru Impreza tachometer wiring

I am wiring up an after market tachometer for a 2000 subaru impreza 2.5l rs. There is a green wiring comming off the tach that goes to the igntion coil to get the rpm signal. What wire am I looking for that will give me a reading?

above is the manual for my tach. I need to know where to hook up the green wire.
