2000 Plym Gr Voyager 3.0L engine w/ 155000 mi Just replaced steering column with one from salvage yard because of ignition lock failure. Lock works. Had to swap multifunction switches to operate wipers. Ignition lock and switch operate well. PCM a little cranky (due to battery disconnect for 10 days), starts hard when cold, runs rough for several minutes and then smooths out. Dash gauges, lights, speedo, tach, etc. come on when switched on but entire dash and all related functions (speedo, odometer, mpg avg, miles til empty, fuel gauge, temp, radiator fans, etc.) fail after 20 - 30 seconds. Swapped ignition starter switch and then replaced same with new but same results. I see no loose grounds and all wiring connectors are properly connected. Fuses all appear okay. I also replaced the am/fm/cass deck with OEM equipment at same time. All functions operate on this. Everything else is working as it was prior to replacing steering column. One other note, the SRS airbag was moved from my old steering wheel to the replacement. Any ideas on what could be the culprit?
