2000 Escort speedometer, odometer,& horn quit working Sign In

I have a 2000 Ford Escort, Fuel Injected car with 148200 miles on it. Should be more miles then that but the odometer along with the speedometer and the horn have stopped working. Recently the relay fuse went out and so I replaced it but sense then the three things mentioned above have not worked. Before the relay fuse went out the speedometer on two occasions quit working but then out of the blue they started working again. It's been about two months sense they have worked now. I have checked all fuses and none are blown. To double check I took the fuse for the horn and speedometer and plugged it into another slot to verify that it was in fact working and it was. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You don't even know! Personal info deleted

They might be 2 serperate issues. I have seen lots of VSS(vechical Speed Sensor) go on escort's. I would get a scanner on it and see if the PCM reads the VSS befor replacing it. 9 times out of 10 they break off when taking them out. I have made a special tool for taking them out. Here is the wiring diagrams for the horn and cluster.
