I have a 2000 Chevy Cavalier with the 2.2L in it. My problem is I keep blowing the cooling fan Maxi fuse. I have replaced the relay which didn't help. I have tried jumping the pins 87 and 30 with the relay removed and it blows the fuse right away. What should be my next step in diagnosing the problem?

Well you either have a short or fan motor drawing excessive current.

Get a test light hook one end to the battery positive and probe the load side of the fuse connector. If its lights then you have a short than needs to be traced down.......

I just checked the load side of the fuse with a test light and it didn't light up at all. Looks like I'm going to have to get a new fan motor. Thanks for your help, this little problem was starting to get on my nerves.
