My 2000 Chevy Blazer is stuck in 4WD Hi. I know the problem is electrical in nature, but i don't know where to begin. Any suggestions? I checked the connections in the dash module, and they were just fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does it stay in 4 HI after the vehicle is shut off and restarted? Or does it seem to engage itself as you are driving it? Are all the tires the exact same size?

Yep, it stays in 4HI no matter what. I turned it off, started it back up and same thing. All the tires are indeed the same size. I took out the 4WD control unit on the dash, checked the connections, restarted it, and still stuck in 4HI. Over the weekend I changed out my heater core (now that was a real chore!) and everything was fine before. Everything is fine after, except for this 4WD thing. I must have bumped a wire when i was in there, but i don't know where to begin. Any suggestions?

There is a controller on the drivers side of the transmission that could possibly cause it. There is also a vacuum switch that is it is hung can cause problems.

THE BLAZERS ALSO HAVE ALOT OF PROBLEMS WITH THE SWITCHES GOING BAD AND DOING THAT SAME THING. ITS SUCH A COMMON PROBLEM THAT NAPA ACTUALLY STARTED CARRYING THEM SO U DONT HAVE TO GO TO THE DEALER FOR IT. JUST A SUGGESTION - IVE SEEN ALOT OF THEM RECENTLY FOR SOME REASON. (IM ASSUMING U HAVE THE PUSH BUTTON TYPE) THAT WHOLE THING JUST POPS OUT OF THE DASH AND UNPLUGS. ONLY TAKES A FEW MINUTES TO CHANGE.

I'll check into all of those and report back after the weekend. Thanks for all your help; it is truly appreciated!
